Adult tooth not coming in?

My DD lost an upper front baby tooth at the beginning of January and the adult tooth has not grown in yet. Should I be concerned? With her bottom teeth they came in not too long after so just curious if anyone's kids had their adult teeth take longer to come in.

Is there room for the tooth to come in? My older son had issues because there wasn't space for the tooth to come in so we had to get a palatal expander when he was in 1st grade.

When was the last time your child was at the dentist? Maybe they can take an X-ray to see where the tooth is?

I do remember some of DD's adult teeth taking a while to come in after the baby tooth fell out.
Next time you go to the dentist they can do an xray to see where it is.

Two of my kids are missing adult molars. One is missing one and the other is missing two. I think it's more common with molars but I would take her to a dentist for an xray to make sure that the tooth is there. If she's already had dental xrays then they would know if it was missing. Even still if it's been a while I would schedule an appointment.

My DD is dealing with the same. She lost her 2 front teeth in October and one isn’t even halfway through. She went to the dentist before the second tooth had started to poke through and they freaked us out that the tooth would never come in because she needed a palatal expander. We took her to the orthodontist who pretty much said teeth can take a while and to bring her back in a year. So, the professional opinion I was given was that that it’s normal for them to take forever to come in.

I had that happen to me when I was younger. I had lost several top around the same time and kept saying "I don't remember 2 of my teeth coming in."
But there was no gap. When I went for braces and they did the xray's they found that the 2 were impacted in my gums and never came in. My other teeth pushed forward closing the gaps which is why my mom never realized.

I did have to have some kind of spring put on my braces to push the teeth back to make room and then they had to extract the teeth so they could come in.

Just keep an eye on it and if you start to think too much time has passed have the dentist do an xray.

I don't think that's too long. Some of my DD's teeth took months to come in. But we could always see it or feel it at least right below the surface. If there's nothing there at all I might be a little worried.

Thanks all. I called the dentist and apparently it can take up to 6 months to come in, so we will wait to see what happens.
