Cleaning your hotel room
Do you clean your hotel room when you check in?
If so, what do you do? What do you bring with you?

Cleaning your hotel room
Gloves and a container of clorox wipes. Everything we will touch gets a wipe down. Remote gets a double wioe down, lol. We don't have them clean our room during our stay, either.

Re: Cleaning your hotel room
Depends on the hotel. There is a certain brand we stay at often and they clean the rooms better than I ever could. It literally smells faintly of bleach when you walk in and it is immaculate. I don't bother with any cleaning when we stay there Other places I just bring a can of Lysol and spray the ish out of the toilet, sink, shower, remote control, and most flat surfaces

always, I bring a small pack of bleach wipes, I wipe down, door knobs, TV remote, table tops, every surface in the bathroom even tub, dresser and night table tops. I only use ICE bucket after I washed out and only if they provide bags.
I never keep the comforter on the bed.

Cleaning your hotel room
I guess I am definitely NOT a germaphobe. I have never in my life ever cleaned a hotel room. I'm living to tell about it, so I guess it's OK. LOL!

Cleaning your hotel room
I always bring clorox wipes and clean the remote, handles, and light switches. I always quickly wash plates and utensils before using if we’re staying at an airbnb. I did all of this pre-covid too!

Haha, me, too.
The only thing I do is make sure to wash my hands. I’m more careful to check that my hands are clean before they go near my face or mouth.
I check my bed to make sure it is clean, and I open windows to air everything out, but that’s it. I don’t use the remotes ever because I very rarely watch TV.

Same - I have requested another room if the room was not clean but I have never re-cleaned a hotel room.
I have a friend who brings her own sheets when she goes to hotels and leaves them there because she doesnt even want to bring them home.

Either I am gross bc I have never cleaned a room when checking in or people are nuts. Who has the money to leave perfectly good sheets at a hotel?

She says they are inexpensive sheets but I find those to be uncomfortable personally lol.

I have read about people doing that with the sheets. That's insane to me. At that point, why bother going away if you are so skeeved to sleep somewhere other than home.

Cleaning your hotel room
Yes, everything gets wiped down with Clorox wipes. Light switches, remote, faucet, toilet handle, door knobs, etc.
We also check the mattress for bed bugs. Don't want to bring that nightmare home with us!
