Ideas for spring break?
I was thinking I could take the time to expose my kids to arts and science as opposed to amusement parks and sports events. Anyone have any recommendations for good museums, aquariums or experiences? My kids are 7-12. I'm not opposed to a road trip. They would probably prefer that anyway.

Re: Ideas for spring break?
Washington DC had the best museums and history IMO
I really loved that trip and it would be a great educational trip for kids. There's so much to see and do and most of the museums are free
And if you want something closer, Boston would be amazing for what you are looking for. Aquariums ,museums, so much history and things to see. That was one of my favorite trips too

The Franklin Institute in Philly is great - my husband and son went last year and loved it. They have a great Lego exhibit right now too so I want to take him back.

I was going to suggest Boston/Salem, too. Philly is another good one- I remember going about that age to the Liberty Bell.

We went to Springfield Massachusetts last year. They have the dr. Seuss museum, science museum, and another one right in a quad. It was a great day trip. We also did basketball hall of fame
