Re: Newport RI
Ahhhh, love Newport. We stayed at the Vanderbilt hotel. I can't remember if that is the name, but it was once a Vanderbilt mansion (one of them!) It was beautiful!

Re: Newport RI
Every place there is amazing.
I really don't think you can go wrong.
We used http://www.bedandbreakfast.com/ to find the place we stayed at.
I can't remember the name (the Sarah somthing), but all the places looked awesome!

Re: Newport RI
We stayed at the Inn on Bellvue. I didn't really care for it, but it was just a room to sleep in. I didn't like that it was quite a few blocks away from the heart of Newport and we had to walk to get there. We were out all day and night, so we just needed a place to shower and sleep. I don't know if you want luxury or just a room, but It wasn't too $$ and it fit our needs.

Re: Newport RI
Jailhouse Inn a a decent reasonably priced place that's walking distance to town.
ETS- Atlantic Beach Club is a great spot for dinner or even just to sit outside and have drinks if it's a nice day/night.

We stayed at the Hotel Viking and it was great! They have a package for a little more money that includes parking and breakfast. The breakfast was delicious!!!

Re: Newport RI
Over the summer we stayed on the Harborside Inn.. it was right on the water and they gave a continental breakfast every morning. It was absolutely beautiful. We could sit on a little balcony overlooking the harbor and it was right in downtown..

Re: Newport RI
I stayed at the Francis Malbone House. It was gorgeous and very luxurious. The room had a fireplace, jacuzzi tub and the bed was so high that you needed a step to get onto it.
