My RE's office is affiliated with the OB office that is directly linked to Stony Brook Hospital. Actually, this office is really part of the hospital. The name of the practice is University Associates in OBGYN, I don't have an OB yet (although I require an MFM and there are several in the practice). They are located in E. Setauket.
Here is a link to Stony Brooks website with the doctor's on it. I'm using the office located at 6 Technology Drive in E. Setauket.
Stony Brook physicians
My old OBGYN is now practicing here--Dr. Jennifer Johnson. I absolutely loved her!! She had a baby last year and moved. Now she is part of Stonybrook. So anyway, I am in the same boat. I need to find a Dr. in Nassau, preferably associated with Wintrhop.
My friend absolutely loves this guy...he's hot, too, which helps

Re: ummm....I need an OBGYN -any recomendations?
I wish I had a good one to recommend. I went to an AWFUL one who was full of himself and in an "emergency" situation which turned out not to be one, he left this message on my machine while I was away, I called the MORON and he REUSED to get on the phone until 3 calls later and being on hold 25 minutes! I explained I was on a cruise out of the country- he did not give a #$%^& , and it turned out not to be anything with anything- it was not an emergency. He also said when I told him i was never to a male ob/gyn- "You have tried the rest, now try the best!". I want to go there and fling a pizza box over his head. I am on the look out for a good one , if anyone has one please, post it or FM mail me. TIA!

This might be a good one.
thanks!!
I refuse to go to Stony Brook Hospital Dr's after the death of my daughter there, so thats out.
And I would prefer Good Sam or NSLIJ At Manhassest as far as hospitals delivering at.
Now what do we all do if we find like two dr's? Interview them? I want to see which I like better...LOL
I hate choosing.

I highly recommend Drs. Korn, Taubman and Linkie in Great Neck. they are affiliated with LIJ. I work with them in the hospital and they are fantastic, most of the other nurses use them also..
This is the practice that scared me into having the amniocentisis that I adamantly told them I did not want. They were not up front with me on a few issues and stuck the needle through my anterior placenta - A BIG NO NO FOR DOCTORS - and my water broke.
I may be biased against these doctors, but I had to let this be known.

And Dr Mastrogiannis is listed as one of the best high risk Dr's in NY.

Re: ummm....I need an OBGYN -any recomendations?
I have a great high risk OB/maternal fetal specialist associated with Winthrop. Her name is Genevieve Sicuranza. Now that I delivered, I'm looking for a new GYN. Like so many others on this post, I has "issues" with my last OB/GYN.

Re: ummm....I need an OBGYN -any recomendations?
I go to Dr Arato and Dr Blyzack in Stony Brook Medical Park. They are affiliated with Stony Brook and St Charles (maybe St Catherine's..not sure) Dr Blyzack delivered Hayley. He was not even my OB at the time, he was covering for the OB I was going to. I have now switched to Dr Blyzack's office because he was awesome the day Hayley was born. He was a total stranger to me and DH but he came in and made us feel comfortable about him doing the emergency c-section. That day I turned to DH and said I am switching to him after my 6 week check up and I did!

I normally go to Oakdale OBGYN's, but was referred to Dr Allen Toles when I needed to deliver at LIJ. He is with Women's Comprehensive Health Center.
