We "leased" (paid all the bills) in my parents house 2 months shy of being married 2 years. We bought the house a year later.

I owned my house with no mortgage & DH owned a co-op when we met. He sold his co-op & moved into the house which we refinanced and we noware having renovated.

We bought our condo about 6 mos. before the wedding. I didn't want to move in together until after the wedding, so DH lived here alone until the wedding.

We bought our house together after we had been dating almost 4 years. We got engaged after we moved in and married a year after that. So we had the house almost 2 years before getting married.
I wouldn't change a thing!

I never answered my own post! - We closed on our apartment about one month shy of our second anniversary.
Hoping to finally buy a house maybe this spring, just after our 3rd anniversary...Hopefully!
