I won't buy anything if it isn't on sale.
I scour the circulars when they come and will go to various supermarkets.
I have found a gem of a store in Western Beef!! There's a great one in Mineola. There bread alone is worth the trip. They bake it fresh everyday and it's cheap. That and they have Boar's Head!!! So much cheaper than S&S!!!!

I buy what's on sale. Don't know if it counts as coupons, but, I always recycle our soda cans, beer bottles..etc. just to knock more off the bill.
Sometimes CVS has cereal on sale cheaper than S&S so I'll go there too.

I just did that now- walbumns has eddy's ice cream for $1.99 this week!!!
I buy alot of ice cream for Jake- alot!
I will hit target first tonight- see what they have on sale
then walbumns- I marked my list with there sale price so I can compare to target

Waldbaum's and S&S recently started their sales on Friday's instead of Sunday. I used to always do my shopping Friday after work, just to get it over with for the weekend... and I found that the store isn't very crowded. well since they changed the weekly sale to start on Friday, it stinks! by the time I got there, everything on sale was wiped out. So now I go on Tues or Wed instead.

excellent point. don't go food shopping when hungry or when you are pmsing.
and don't buy 1200 cans of tune b/c its .39. you think its such a steal, but if you don't even eat it, its a waste. know what i mean?

I clip coupons but often don't use them before the expiration date. A friend told me that often the coupons still work after the expiration date- you just have to rip off the date.
I thought he was full of it until I tried it and so far it really has worked. So don't throw out those old coupons! Just rip off the corner!

i look what price the food is at target. i buy store brand if it is cheaper, and it usually is. try to buy what is on sale.
