How much is WW designed to lose?
I want to lose from 8-10 lbs. I was considering the 5-week $49 deal at WW going on now. Is WW meant to lose more than that? Is 5 weeks enough to lose 10 lbs on WW? I don't think I am really heavy, just want to lose the 8 lbs I gained since my wedding.

Some people loose that in the first week, but everyone is different. The average and IMO most healthy weightloss is 1-3 pounds per week.
So yeah I think you would def. loose the 8-10 pounds in 5 weeks if you stick to the plan.

It's possible, I guess. If you don't have a lot to lose, I would guess it would take longer than 5 weeks. the people in my meetings who are very close to their goal weight say taking off the last 10 is really tough.

Re: How much is WW designed to lose?
I know people that went on it to lose 5 pounds (my MIL)... and I know people that have went on it to lose 75! It is designed for you to lose what you want, and then maintain it. I really want to lose 10-15 more pounds, but it is hard to lose at this point. If 10 is all you want to lose I bet you could do it on WW, it just might not be so fast. My first week I lost over 7, but I had a lot to lose at that point. Good luck!

You should talk to Amanda about WW. She has been doing WW and as you know we exercise about 5 times a week. I think she lost abot 5 pounds.

Oh wow, I didn't know she was on it. But we did have a big discussion about ways to make our lunch salads more interesting! Hope you are feeling better!

Re: How much is WW designed to lose?
you're worried about 8 lbs Beth?? Geez!!
WW is designed for healthy eating primarily. The goal is to lose 1-2 ls a week, so 5 weeks you could lose 5-10 lbs or not. Depends on your body and your eating habits.

Re: How much is WW designed to lose?
You always lose alot during that first week. The first time I joined I lost 8 pounds the first week. The second time I joined I lost 6 pounds the first week.
Then after that, you can loose from 1-2 pounds a week.

As long as you have at least 5 lbs to lose, you can join. You will probably take it off pretty quickly! Good luck!
