baby carriers

i use my front carrier all the time when out and about (I have a bjorn)...is there anything similar that I can use now that he is getting bigger? The bjorn seems to be getting tighter around his belly...

Re: baby carriers

I like my Playtex hip hammock. It feels like I am holding him. I think the baby has to be at least 15 lbs.

Re: baby carriers

Ali...how is that hip hammock? Are there like a million straps to connect? Up to what weight can you use it? Does it hurt your neck?

Sorry for all the questions...Chat Icon

Re: baby carriers

I have an EllaRoo wrap. You can adjust it, change it up etc what ever you need to do to suit how the baby wants to be. I highly recommend them.

I think its great b/c its very natural feeling. there are only two straps. One around your waist and one around your neck. It feels like you are holding a bookbag and doenst hurt my neck at all. The one I have is from 15- 35 lbs.

Re: baby carriers

just happened to be lurking on this board & based on your recommendation, Ali, I went out and bought the hip hammock for friends who have a 1 month old. we're going to visit them today & wasn't sure what to get them (no registry). thanks for the idea! i think it was around $60 at babies r us.

Re: baby carriers

They are great because it doesnt put the weight on your neck like Baby Bjorn style carriers. You put the wrap on your shoulders so it is MUCH more comfortable!!
