Honestly...Should I call again??

Should I call the office again? A nurse finally called me back on Monday and told me that Dr. Saketos would call me tomorrow (Tuesday) to discuss my test results with me. That she had all my paperwork on her desk and that she would definately call me on Tuesday. So I waited ALL day yesterday and nothing. Now its 12 in the afternoon on Wednesday and still nothing. I dont want to be a pain in the butt and keep calling but I need to know whats going on. I feel that each minute that goes by now, I am literally wasting time. Should I call again or just wait? I dont want to annoy them but dont I have a right here to talk to a doctor???

I would call again. If they told you they were going to call you yesterday. I sometimes will call so much and feel like Im being a pain. But you are paying them good $$ and this is YOUR health, so dont feel like you are being a pain at all.

WTH?? Im SHOCKED that RSofNY is pulling this. Call back and ask to speak to ANY doctor about your results (Dr S may not be in today).

Nope nothing. When you girls call, do people actually answer?? I keep getting the answering service. I left a message but still nothing.

sometimes my place will close down for an hour to do bloodwork.

I would defnitly call again. Too bad if they think you are being a pain (which u r not!) They said they would call and they didnt. You deserve to know what your test results are!

Actually I have my next appointment in October so I guess I cant wait until then. When I first met with her, I was told to call about my results, that she would discuss them with me over the phone and that she would let me know if I were to start the Met or not. Thats my biggest thing. I want to start the Met because sometimes it takes a long time to start ovulating again and I just feel like waiting is wasting time.

I would keep calling and calling and calling.

I just left my 2nd dr because I refuse to be treated the way I was over the weekend.

I was using them for over a year (I stopped treatments) but I never had any problems getting someone to speak with me. I think the last appointment is around noon and the doctor does their meetings until 3....someone should be there to answer the phone. Which office are you calling?

When you call, hit the extension for making an appointment, you will hopefully get a receptionist. Tell them you do not want to be transferred to the nurse's station because you will get an answering machine. Explain your entire situation and how long you have been waiting, sometimes they will get who you need...otherwise, yes, I have gotten that 'answering machine'. :(

Mineola office is a LOT busier, than Stonybrook. Ask them where Dr. Saketos is , and that if perhaps calling stonybrook will help ?

I finally did get a nurse earlier. I explained who I was and she said that she knew Saketos had my info and it was just a matter of time before she called. I explained that I was sitting here with a prescription for the Met and I needed to know if I should fill it or not and she goes, well she has your info. UGH!!!

Im calling again tomorrow.

Sorry you didnt get your questions answered. I would keep calling. Do the nurses say they will tell the dr. you called??

They "claim" she knows. I am really surprised by them to be honest.

Honestly, I had the same problem getting DH's lab results from saketos. They told me only the MD who ordered it could give the result (whihc happened to be Saketos) and I had to wait till she was in the office. I finally got through when the recpetionist took pitty on me and kept me on hold until she physically saw her and then got her on the phone for me.

I would definately try to get through via recptionist (not nurse).
