OB recommendation Stony Brook or St Charles
I'd like to switch practices. Can you recommed yours? I'd prefer a group on the smaller side but one that does most of the labs and sonos in house. Thanks!
PS I did a search, but I'd like some more specific advice abouts the in house thing.

Re: OB recommendation Stony Brook or St Charles
They're not small, it's a large practice, but I use Suffolk OBGYN. Their patients deliver at St. Charles. I have dealt with several of the doctors there, and they are always very thorough. At first I didn't think I'd like having a few doctors see me, but it really is more convenient for me, since the wait time seems to be lower because of the multiple doctors. Plus, a friend went there and she had some complications early on, and she like it because not only do they have a lot of doctors, but they have several offices and could always squeeze her in fast at one of the offices if she had a problem.
I go to the Port Jeff office, they have their sonograms downstairs, and then send you upstairs for your appointment right afterwards. It's very convenient.

I go the Dr. Ninia who is in Pt. Jeff and delivers at St. Charles. They're all wonderful there. They don't do lab stuff in house but they do have 2 sono techs. FM me if you have any questions.

I had a horrible experience with them and would not recommend them. My Dr's now I LOVE LOVE LOVE-I actually recommended them to one of the girls on thsi board and she loves them too. They are open until 8 some nights. They are the kindest most compassionate OB's I have ever seen. Dr. Somers and Dr. Halpert(Halpert is more young and hip but they are both great) They can deliver at Stonybrook or St Catherines
ETA they are in Smithtown On Terry Rd just South of 347 862-4000

Re: OB recommendation Stony Brook or St Charles
I go to Dr Blyszack and Dr Arato. They deliver at both Stony Brook & St Charles. Dr Blyszack did my emergency c-section (and he wasn't my OB at the time). He made me & DH feel so comfortable with him performing my c-section I switched over to his practice after I had Hayley. Dr Blyszack called called the NICU the day after Hayley was born and then called me to see how I was doing. Dr Arato came to check me and he discharged me...the OB they were covering for didn't even come to the hospital to check on me.

i also recommend suffolk obgyn. they are so great and so flexible. all the doctors there are great. plus there are numerous offices so they can always fit you in somewhere when you need it.

Really? I really am very sorry to hear that, but glad you found somewhere you like better. Thankfully, I've had nothing but great experiences with them so far.
