ughhhh.....
I have to go back for blood and sono on Friday in PLAINVIEW and that is my FIRST day with kids
I cant take a half-sick day the first day of school??
My nruse is getting back to me to see if I can go another day.

I know exactly how you feel Diane. I am an elementary teacher for the NYC dept of ed. and we are never allowed 1/2 days. Being late is not acceptable either, that is why I am applying for a leave of absence this year. Today I am heading to my 'school' to hand in the paperwork. I hope it goes smoothly and no questions are asked. There is very little understanding where I work, and no other woman there has ever take a leave for ttc reasons. I had my Re fill out a confidential medical report that gets sent to a medical dept., so technically, my principal and secretaries, don't need to know my reason. I just hope, they don't give me a hard time. This is emotional enough. I hope the nurse can change your day, the first day back to school is overwhelming, and to rush to get there after bloodwork/sono is just too much stress :(

Michelle, its none of their business. Stick to your guns and continue to say its for medical reasons...give no further reason to those who have no business knowing it.

Diane, I hope you were able to change your appointment. And Michelle, my sister is a NYC teacher too so I am so aware of all the B/S you have to put up with from administration. Good luck with the leave, hopefully you will BOTH get BFPs soon and not have to deal with the added stress....

well, my nurse is now going to the Setauket office because she is expecting a lot of patients.
So I dont have to go to Plainview, but will still be late. They didt want me to go another day.
I just wish I knew my schedule.
I requested to my supervisor for the first 2 periods off due to this.
I hope it comes my way, like I really want the first 2 periods off.
