Interview Questions
In the next 2 weeks I have a bunch of interviews scheduled.
I am 20 weeks pregnant and it is noticable.
My baby is due in the beginning of July, but the dr said I will probably go at the end of June.
I know they can't legally ask me anything about being pregnant. Do you think I should bring it up or forget about it since I will have more than enough time to recover over the summer?
I'm just wondering if either they will 1) Be smart enough to kind of figure out i will have the baby way before September or 2) Pass over me since they can't ask me about it.
What would you do?

Re: Interview Questions
If you want to mention it- fine but I wouldn't say that you are due in July. If they did the math and say c-section they might not think that you will be physically capable of being there for the first day. If you mention I would say that you are due in the beginning of June. JMO.

Re: Interview Questions
I would totally say something. The market is saturated with teachers and you are going to be competing with lots of other people, and I wouldn't give them a reason (legal or not) to dismiss you early in the interview process. I would make it 100% clear when you are due, and that starting in September will not be an issue at all, period.
Realistically - if it comes down to 2 candidates with equal qualifications and one is visibily pregnant and the other isn't - which one would you go for? I would need assurances from the pregnant candidate that she is able to fulfill all job responsibilities.
