Vegetarian meatloaf
I'm still working on this recipe.. but I made it last night and it came out great
1/2 bag morningstar farms grillers crumbles 1/2 bag morningstar farms sausage style crumbles (you cna use a whole bag of either. It's really meant for the plain, but I like the flavor that adding a little of the sausage style adds) 1/2 cup breadcrumbs 4 eggs 1 large onion 2 stalks celery 1/4 cup parmesean cheese tomato sauce or ketchup 1/2 tsp garlic power 1/2 tsp parsley 1/4 tsp oregano
In a bowl, combine crumbles, breadcrumbs, eggs, cheese and spices.
In a skillet, sautee the onions and celery until softened
Mix celery and onions in with crumbles mixture.
Press into a loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes at 350.
Add 1/2 cup of tomato sauce of ketchup on top and cook for 15 more minutes
Enjoy with some extra sauce or ketchup!
I also want to try it by sauteeing the "meat" in with some garlic and oil to make it more garlicky, but I'm not sure how that will affect cooking time, if at all.
Enjoy!
