Re: disneyworld
In 2004 we stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside hotel. The rooms were clean & quaint. No problems at all

Re: disneyworld
Polynesian is great!! You could try the all star resorts, they are less expensive but very nice we are going in the fall and staying at the animal kingdom lodge, cant wait!

Re: disneyworld
I second the suggestion to stay at the Polynesian. It's a beautiful hotel. However, it's not cheap. If you don't mind the $$, I would say stay there! Also, the Wilderness Lodge and The Animal Kingdom Lodge are great, as well.
If you're looking for cost-effective, I'd say go with Port Orleans Riverside. DH and I go there when we're looking to save $. It's neat, clean, all outdoor room entrances. Get a waterview room on the river.....
The All Star Resorts are the most cost efficient if you're going with kids. If it's just u and hubby, I'd probably go somewhere else. It's definitely your "least romantic" option.
HTH.

We stayed there and loved it. I had a great time and enjoyed the walks from the hotel to getting something to eat. I loved every morning stopping to feed the ducks and the other birds.
We were having such a great time we even extended our stay. I am looking to go back later in the year

Re: disneyworld
I agree with the Port Orleans Riverside recomendation - it's a moderate resort on Disney property. The Wilderness Lodge is another fabulous resort - it's considered a deluxe but it's priced a little lower the others because it's not right next to a theme park.
