i would say you definitely could! i put them in all the time when i make pot roast... i think it makes the potatoes nice and tender...

i do!! i had posted it awhile back... its a rachel ray recipe that DH and i just threw all of the stuff in the crockpot one night to see how it would come out, and it came out great! its more of like a "stew" kind of thing that you can serve over rice or noodles...

2-3 boneless chicken breasts
balsalmic vinegar
EVOO
bell pepper
cubanelle pepper ( spicier)
one onion, cut up
chopped garlic
1 large can crushed tomatoes

put chicken in bottom of crock pot and splash with balsalmic and EVOO. then add the cut up peppers and onion, and a little bit of chopped garlic. add in the can of crushed tomatoes and cook for 8 hours. you can also add a little bit of crushed red pepper flakes, too..... when you are ready to eat it, break up the chicken ( it will become kind of shredded, like a stew) and serve over noodles or rice.
