Im back...what an adventure..
OK-So I went to the DR. before she did the internal and before I told her about my dad...I had said how the higher dosage of steroids were really helping my itch..and the lower dosgae was starting to make things real bad again...
She then did the internal... Im 1 cm dialated..and my cervix is not even soft! I asked about being induced next week.. (at 38 weeks as planned because of PUPPS) and she said judging by my cervix and since the higher dosage of steroids were working she didnt know if she was still gonna induce me
I then went into the whole thing with my dad...but said to her I DID NOT wanna do anything that would be dangerous to my baby... If he could see him before he leaves great...if not though it was ok...
She said she completely understood and would have no problem inducing me this weekend, but I HAD to do the amnio!!!!
I started asking all the same questions I asked last time I was faced with this decision..and felt totally lost as of what to do.. I wasnt expecting this at all!!!
She continued to say that if the amnio results showed lung maturity I had nothing to worry about, and the only risk I was running was going into labor now...
She left the room for me and DH to discuss.. DH was so set on doing this...I was still unsure (mostly cuz I was scared of the needle)
Anyways- I did it! I was scared to death...but if I want this baby here before he leaves..I HAD to do this...
I was a nervous wreck... I wore my sunglasses and kept my eyes closed the entire time... and truthfully it wasnt bad at all..
The needle felt no different then when you get a needle in your arm.. just a pinch... you do feel them moving the needle inside of you... kinda like pressure..and its a little uncomfortable...but totally bearable...
Now its a waiting game...they'll have the results thursday...and then we take it from there... A c-sectiom is most likely because of my cervix and the babys postion..at least as of now.. but alot can change by thursday...
The baby is about 6-6 right now.. and Im still measuring about a week bigger than I am...so thats a good sign!!!
Keep those prayers coming girls...
(Before I went to the DR I was having some painful contractions...probably cuz of all the stress...and they are starting up again... Im a little scared, cuz I know the amnio can bring this on and since I was already have some today...who knows, if its gonna make it more intense)

wow marissa! What an adventure!! I'm sure your baby is ready to come out and that inducing before your dad leaves is the right thing to do. You are following your heart but still considering your babys' health....
You are already a GREAT mom!!!

Thanks girls... I just wanted to add that tonights internal was soooooooooooooo PAINFUL!!!!
I would think it would hurt less since Im a least 1 cm dialated.. but that wasnt the case at all... maybe I was just tense...
Does it generally hurt more & more each time?

Nothing like having to make a decision at the last minute!!!
From what it sounds like, the more dialated or the closer yuo are to labor the more the internal hurts. From what people tell me the first few are nothing but once they start dialating they start hurting way more.
I hope everything goes well with the test results! You are braver then I would have been!!
