When did you go from 4 bottles to 3?

And what was your feeding schedule like at that point?

Re: When did you go from 4 bottles to 3?

Gosh-it feels like ages ago but I want to say 10 months?

Oh and she had a morning bottle, breakfast, lunch, a mid-afternoon bottle, dinner and a bedtime bottle. I gave water with meals in a sippy but that was my schedule.

Re: When did you go from 4 bottles to 3?

Hmm... I remember Michael having 5 6oz bottles for a long time! How many ounces does Sophie take now?

Michael didn't take 3 bottles until he was taking a full 8oz in each.

For 3 bottles - his schedule was probably something along the lines of what Dani mentioned.

I don't remember his age.

Right now, Sophie is 8 months old and taking about 5 ounces in each bottle - sometimes 4, sometimes 6.

So she gets about 18-20 ounces of formula a day. Plus about 4-5 jars of baby food.

My MIL is saying that she should not be getting a bottle with dinner anymore.....

Re: When did you go from 4 bottles to 3?

We just made the transition about 2 weeks ago. DD was 9 1/2 mths.

DD has been only table foods for probably 2 mths prior.

We got rid of the morning bottle so she would eat more breakfast.

Now she has a bottle at around 10, 3, and 7.

Re: When did you go from 4 bottles to 3?

Well I tried it yestrday but he woke up at 2am starving! so today we're back to 4 bottles. He is not a big eater so I am going to keep him at 4 for a while. He just turned 10 months and is only starting to eat table food.

Same here. Mine is not a big eater when it comes to milk. He has 4 ounces a bottle so I still need to stick with 4 bottles a day...and probably will for a while longer.

Re: When did you go from 4 bottles to 3?

My DS is 9 mos and I am trying to cut him back to 3 bottles and it is just not happening. I even increased his food intake an he still wants that 4th bottle. He eats every 4 hours (8a, 12n, 4p and 7:30p) every day. The bottle I am trying to cut out is the 4p one and he still wants it. Maybe next month!!Chat Icon

I am in the same EXACT situation - even down to the times she eats. Although now it's been at 8 pm her last bottle. But I wanted to try to cut out the 4 pm one too....
