For all the Motherless daughters....
Many to all of you today!!
On a more positive note, does anybody do anything special to remember their mom on this day? I usually just stay home feeling sorry and depressed. I wish I had some sort of ritual to make the day a little easier and bring comfort. For the first couple of years, I went on a shopping spree in honor of my shop-happy mom but I haven't felt right the last couple of years.
Hope everyone is doing okay today!!!!

Re: For all the Motherless daughters....
Yesterday was a horrible heartache for me and I am so relieved that it is behind me. I cried all weekend. I did talk to my dad on Saturday and that was comforting somewhat.
I miss my mom

Re: For all the Motherless daughters....
I know this hasn't been spoken about for a couple of months, but I wanted to share. My mother was my very best friend in the entire world. When she passed away in 1994, I was a single mom of three. I took it really bad. As my life moved forward, I re-married and was blessed with two step children, I felt so sad she wasn't here to share this with me. Then I had a baby and I named my daughter after her, and really missed her ;-( We just adopted a baby and once again, my heart yearned for her to be with me. I noticed that I don't cry hardly anymore, not that I don't miss her anymore, it's that I feel in my heart she is still with me and I feel her love every single day of my life. I keep her alive in memory with my kids and tell stories about her all the time. We continue to wish her Happy Birthday every year on her special day. I don't know why she had leave, but I believe she has to be where she is for her spiritual journey and I cherish the love she shared with me. She was the most wonderful a mom anyone could ever have asked for. I try to honor her by loving my seven kids the way she loved me. Robin
