romantic getaway upstate?
Dh and I are looking to go away for a few days (5)....We were thinking the catskills/adirondacks....anyone know of any nice resorts, without too many kids?
We just want to relax, enjoy the mountains, eat, ect...

I've heard really good things about the Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa, which I think is not that far upstate.

If you're willing to go a little further, this hotel is my FAVORITE!!!!
La Tourelle in Ithaca You won't be disappointed, and there is so much to do in Ithaca!

ETA: I'm bummed!! They've changed their website  there used to be uber tacky 70's photos of the joint!! And it still looks exactly like it's the 70's!!! (we've been once because they are dog-friendly!).

look into the finger lake area, there are wine vinyards and interesting things to do.

It's really nice. There are also a lot of nice B&B's near Ithaca. I liked Taughannock Farms Inn which is right near the falls and state park. Taughannock
