Does anyone go to this gym, Lake Sucess? Thoughts, opinions, suggestions

I go to one in Farmingdale, well used to.. ( i stopped) and I love the gym, huge, plenty of equipment!

A couple of my coworkers use that particular location. One of them actually stopped going b/c the times she wnet (after work around 5 or 6) it was too crowded. She was always waiting for a machine. Another problem was she couldn't attend the class that she liked due to time constraints.

My other coworker goes about the same time and he doesn't have much of an issue. He says the crowds have thinned out. In the beginning of the year it was bad but now there's improvement. He doesn't do classes just uses the machines and he said the wait, if there is one, isn't too bad since they have alot of machines. He has said that parking can be difficult.

Both have said that everything is always clean and well kept.

There's another gym in Great Neck when you're on Community drive and cross over Northern (can't remember the name of the road) it's on the right)

thank you so much. I have been there a couple times as a guest and the parking was just insane and i am wondering where i should join

I used to go there before I moved,,,the parking lot was insane and the weight to use the machines was long. Also it seemed like most times there were many machines that were broken. They will tell you that you never have to wait...they are lie!

Supposedly they expanded but I wasn't there for that.

they expanded and now have double the amt of cardio machines (treadmills, ellipticals), more weight machines, an additional basketball court, raquetball courts, another classroom.

I used to go to the one in Farmingdale. If you go in the early afternoon or later in the evening its great.
I found the parking lot to be insane most of the time and people park all over the place, very dangerous.
They also have lots of free guest nights, which I hated because it was so crowded with non members, here I was paying a lot of money every month and I had a hard time using the machines when I wanted to.

I used to go to that gym (before the expansion) and was so bummed when I moved!!!

My advice is to ask for a free trial. Go the times that you think fits best with your schedule and see if it works out!

I go there. I usually stick to the classes, but I am starting with a personal trainer once I get back from vacation.

it gets crowded - but it's a great HUGE gym. I am going to try to go in the mornings now - hoping it will be easier to park.

I go to the one in Farmingdale b/c it's close to my office. I actually live closer to the one in NHP though...
Anyway, I think it's a great gym for the price! I've belonged to both NYSC (about $80/mnth) and Equinox (about $130/mnth) and I think LA Fitness is just as good as them. I also do personal training there and the prices are GREAT. I pay $235 for 2 half-hour sessions a week.

i belong too. i haven't really been there since being pg, and giving birth but i want to start again. i wish they had more locations. i am in merrick and i guess i will go to farmingdale. i used to hit nhp on my way home from work. i am on child care leave until feb. though

I go there. It is huge. I get there around 4:30 just before it starts crowding up. I never see a wait for cardio machines and remember they do have two floors of machines. I enjoy working out there because it is not cramped.
