Dog boarding...
I'm looking for a place to board my dog in December. It doesn't have to be close, I'll drive an hour or so if the place meets my criteria. My main thing is that she can't be locked up in a cage until bedtime. She needs to be able to roam and play with other dogs.
Anyone have any recommendations?

My sister boards her doberman at her vet in Middle Island - they have a dog run and the workers there play with them - he has a great time. Maybe check with your vet?

Re: Dog boarding...
I have a place in Levittown but she only accepts small dogs....FM me if you are interested. She is excellent. Is fully insured. Only takes 1 or 2 dogs at a time. Makes sure your dog will be compatible by personality with the other dog if one other dog will be staying that time. Also she makes sure the dogs all have their shots, heart worm pill and flea stuff....

We use Cozy Noses - you have to pay extra - I think $50 extra a day for playtime. That is one hour out of the cage. The cages really arent small though - they are a decent size. Cozy Noses is in Bohemia and was ranked the #1 pet hotel from News12.
