Are there any single moms out there?

Single moms of little ones especially. How do you do it??
I am having problems with my DH and this might be a reality at some point. If so, I will have to relocate and start over... My family wouldn't be around me but I would have friends. I am just thinking how hard it would be to juggle a little one - under 1yr. and work, daycare...etc...

I guess I am looking for some sort of reassurance.... I am in a hard place right now. TIA everyone!

I am sorry you are going through this, and I am not a single mom (although I do feel like one some days) I think it is best you have a plan, but I would hope if this is reality your husband would pay some $$ towards the care of the child and daycare.

Is counseling an option first? It may be worth a try, I understand that some situations and realtionships are beyond that, but I just thought I would ask.

I was a single mom for the first 5 years of my son's life. (I just got married)

People always commended me on "how strong I must have been' but I didn't consider myself alone... I had HUGE support from my family and friends... as long as you have love for that baby, you can move mountains.

I am not a single mom. But I was just talking to someone on the bus about this. Her son is the same age as Steven (just turning a year old) and her husband left a few months ago. She said she didn't think she could do it. But, you know what...she DID and she IS. She said she all of a sudden could do things she never even thought she would be able to.

All of us moms know that when it comes to your baby, if it has to be done, you DO it!!! I'm sure you could do it and not even think twice about it. Sure, it's difficult. Sure, you'll be busy. Sure, you may even have some money problems. But you'll get through it and you'll have your friends there to help you. And you won't think twice about doing it!

I am not a single mom but my husband and I work opposite shifts so we do not see each other at all during the week (other than seeing each other when the other is sleeping). So from the time I get home from work until the time I go to bed I am a single parent. It suxs sometimes, not going to lie but you can do it. Last week when I picked my daughter up from daycare all she kept talking about was going to the library. She wanted to. I was exhausted. But seriously how do you tell a child no to the library. I hadn't even been home to get out of my heals yet, but off we went. We ran into a girl that I went to hs with and her 2 boys and she commented on the fact that it was obvious that I still hadn't been home and I must be tired etc. Of course but when it comes to your child you do what you have to do.
