Re: What do you consider to be a "normal" time-frame for getting a new job?

It took me about a month and a half to find a new job when I was laid off from my old job.

In the past I probably would have said 3-4 months, but really this new one took about a year or so.

for the right job I'd say 3-5 months

ETA: Think it also depends the level of the job, executive ,senior level may take a little longer as there are fewer jobs, especially on LI

Re: What do you consider to be a "normal" time-frame for getting a new job?

Depends on your level, I think...

For someone who is entry level, since they don't have so many requirements, I'd say 1-3 months.

For someone with mid-level experience, like me, I'd say, maybe 6 months.

Levels above that, it depends....

ETA: my new job took me 6 months of full time looking and interviewing to get!
