I felt like a babysitter today!

I had to do a class coverage today cuz so many teacher were out today...

I seriously hated it, most of the boys in the class were so disrespectful, and some of the girls were being little b*****s as well

They all cursed and said really horrible things all day long to each other and I can't even count how many times a fight broke out in the room

At the end of the day the principal had to come in to break up one of them it was too chaotic

It makes me feel like a damn horrible teacher, the kids treated me like a sub even though they knew who i was no matter what i said nothing worked

Atleast one girl at the end of the day who was in multiple fights apologized to me, which i took for what it was worth

Man I wonder sometimes how im going to make it through the day...i really want out of my school cuz a lot of the kids act like this...no manners disrespectful and just plain horrible...

i really truly felt like a babysitter, not a teacher today! im freaking certified to teach and make kids learn yet things like this question my abilitites!!!

Boy do I know how you feel!! i have been doing class coverages all week b/c my principal doesn't know where she is putting me. Background: I have been a teacher in the building for 10 years and just came back from maternity leave and she doesn't have a spot for me! Says she's working on it BUT In the meantime every freakin day I come in I, am covering classes without no plan and no warning. The kids are horrible and they know me. So I too feel like a high paid babysitter and I am at my wits end. This whole thing is illegal and I just need the right person to tell......
