Question for the ladies: PSPs and Nintendo DS's
Sorry guys, I only want a woman's point of view...
Does anyone have their own portable game system? DS has xbox360 and I don't like using the controller. I have a PS2 but we don't have both hooked up since I don't really play it anymore.
I was thinking of getting a hand held game to keep myself occupied when he's playing madden.
Do you have one that is your own? If so, which one? Do you like it? and can you recommend any games?

we were looking at one of them. but we don't want multiple systems hooked up in the living room and he isn't ready to give up xbox360 because its new, which is why i thought a portable one would be good.

DH has the DS, and I love playing it! My favorite games are Warioware - Touched (and Twisted, but that's a GBA game that you can play on the DS), Brain Age, Big Brain Academy and Cooking Mama (which is totally mine, not his!). There are a lot of great games on there that are appealing to non-gamers.

Re: Question for the ladies: PSPs and Nintendo DS's
I have both the DS Lite and PSP. I got both of them because some games I want are for one and not the other.
If I had to pick from one of them I would say the DS Lite. I like to play The Sims games on my DS.
What kind of games do you like to play?

I have a Nintendo DS and love it! I play the Brain age games and Word Jong while my husband is on the XBox 360! The DS has a nice selection of games.

Re: Question for the ladies: PSPs and Nintendo DS's
I have a DS and I LOVE IT! It's great for long car rides (if you're not driving, of course), and sitting at the laundromat. Or just hanging out at home while the husband is playing the PS2.
I'm partial to problem-solving games, so I have Brain Age and Brain Age 2. They have brain teasers and sudoku. I also have Cooking Mama, where you "cook" various recipes based on what they tell you to do, and Yoshi's Island, which is a Mario game.

Re: Question for the ladies: PSPs and Nintendo DS's
I got the DS Lite for Christmas from DH. He got me Brain Games 2, and Touch Master (it has 23 games on one disk). I LOVE it. I just bought the My Sims last night and that seems ok so far. I played my nephews Nintendo Pets and I have to say that it was kinda cute to play with the puppies.
I bring it everywhere with me because there is always a lull that I can just play away. I use it on the train (with the sound off of course). Little TMI, but in the bathroom too. I didn't realize until just last week that it takes the Nintendo Advance (an older Nintendo hand held game) games as well. You can get them used for around $7-12 at places like Game Stop and Game Crazy.
Whichever one you get, I recommend a case for it and the games.
