What insurance does everyone have?
I'm looking into getting new insurance and will have to pay out of pocket for DH and I.
Any suggestions?????

The Empire Plan, but DH works for LIRR, and they pay for it.

I have HIP I work for them so I pay a portion and they pay most of it. I hear that they are most affordable for people who have to pay for it. My friend owns a law firm and she provides this insurance to employees and herself she stated that was the most affordable.

I have GHI. I've actually had it my entire life! I am very lucky that my civil service job covers it totally, so there is no out of pocket for any family members.

i have HIP Prime and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!! i have no copays for anything.
they covered 2 major surgeries i had, my prenatals ($0!!!), and all doctor's visits. i'll never switch

Thanks girls..I have empire right now and will actually be able to maintain it through work. But when I do have a baby I know that DH and I will have to pay for insurance because I will be out of work for a little bit so I was wondering if anyone pays for there own insurance that is not provided through work.

GHI CBP- thru DH he is a NYC teacher. So far no probs with it, I have had it basically since I was born, my Dad was a NYC teacher too.

I have 2 insurances (Anthem Bluecross Blueshield PPO from Husband's work and Empire Bluecross Blueshield PPO from my work)
My parents have a small business and pay out of pocket to Empire. Their premiums are not too bad.
I believe pregnant ladies can get free healthcare for the mom and baby. Is that a myth?

We have a BCBS PPO. DH pays a small amount for it but it is a good plan. We only have one co pay for OB visits and a $250 hospital deductible. All other bills are covered 100%
