Bahamas
DH and I really want to go but we do not know much about it just that it is beautiful.
Any recommendations? Which part Freeport or Nassau, All inclusives, the weather in April? TIA

DH and I went for our short honeymoon stay at RIU, Nassau, Bahamas. We were there April 29-May 4th and LOVED IT!!!
We LOVED the all inclusive deal and would definitly do it again!! We went there on a friends recommendation and since we recom. 3 other couples have gone there all with great reviews.
Look into the RIU, we got upgraded for free and it is next door to the Atlantis, 2 minute walk, so we were there at night gambling in their casino, which was very good to us 
We took a nice walk into town and did the swim with the sharks tour...incredible.

We stayed at the One & Only Ocean Club few times which is next to the Atlantis...it is the best hotel on the island...really really quite & private....highly recommended!!

Me and my friend took a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas from Florida 2 years ago, and the ship docked in Nassau overnight....we walked around during the day and it was fine and at night, around 10 we decided to hit up Senor Frogs which was about a 15 min walk from the ship....let me tell you, it was the most terrifying 30 min of my life....we literally walked to the place, took a picture with the damn frog and ran back! There were so many locals around who kept trying to talk to us, grab us, and follow us..OMG!!  Never again!! But if you're planning to stay at the resort at night you should be fine 
Check out Atlantis, I heard its beautiful and they have their own private beach

I went to Freeport about 5 or 6 years ago with my sister and it was ok! The beach was nice but if you ventured outside of the resort people bother you. DH and I are going to Atlantis in a few weeks hopefully it will be better. If not at least I will feel safer with DH

We went to the Sandals in the Bahamas and LOVED it!!!!!!!!!We want to go back. There is so much to do and Sandals takes care of everything for you. You just have to pay on a credit if you want to to go anywhere off the resort, but they offer discounts!!!!  It was all inclusive and we ate and drank our hearts and stomachs away!!!!

So did we. It was awesome. My inlaws stayed at the Rui and hated it. They said the food was awful and had some other complaints.
Also my sister stayed a few times at another resort on Cable Beach. I will find out the name.

We stayed at both Sandals and Atlantis, and there is NO comparison. I wouldn't set foot on any Bahama island again, unless I had reservation at Atlantis! It is AMAZING in every way!
