Just got my BFP on saturday...a few questions
I am so unbelievable excited but still cautious b/c I have a very close friend that just suffered a miscarriage....
Since the weekend I have had a a very dull ache (so light I wouldn't even call it a pain) on my left side that comes and goes....it is worst at night...It actually feels just like gas but for the most part on the left side and then sometimes I feel it in a few different spots on my lower abdomen...does this sound normal....again....no "pain" even "ache" is a strong word....feels more like gas....just hoping this is normal.

Sorry but I didn't have those pains but from what I've read on these boards it seems to sound normal.

Congrats on the BFP!
I never had anything like that. But I did have like a runners cramp feeling on the right side the week following my BFP. That then turned into constant cramping (a little lighter then AF) in my lower abdomen. That lasted about the first 8 weeks of my pregnancy.

Congrats!
I didn't have any pains, so I can't really comment on that.
Make your appointment and tell your doctor what you are experiencing. I'm sure its normal!

i have had that cramping since i got my BFP. i acutally told my doc about it and she gave me a sono just to rule out a ectopic.
i get the pain every so often near where my ovaries are, and sometimes above - ususally on the left side, but sometimes on the right, and never in the middle. my doc said it was most likely caused by the cyst that forms when an egg is released - so you probably O'd on your left side.
from what i have heard the other aches and pains are natural "growing pains" of the uterus stretching.
do you have a sono scheduled anytime soon?

well my guess is that you will about 5 weeks then right? they most likely won't be able to see anything but the gestational sac, but they will be able to rule out an ectopic - although i have heard that if it is ectopic it is actually very painful and you would definitely know if something is wrong. i am sure it's nothing! congrats on your BFP!!

the cramping usually is completely normal. If it is not painful , like you said it is really slight, then I wouldnt worry about it.
Your body is changing in so many ways and you are going to feel a bunch of different things. Just try to let nature take its course. I know, easier said then done but try not to worry
I still get the cramping on and off. It usually is your uterus stretching

Thanks ladies...I feel better...yeah it is not "pain" just more like when you need to pass gas  kind of feeling. It's funny b/c I think I was mistaking these pains last week as really light af cramps....but they have definatey not gotten worse and I am not in any "pain" so I am at ease......
