why am I shocked?
OK. I feel bad complaining because I know some of you dont have any IVF coverage. Fortunately I have some. It is a 10K lifetime max, so I have been lucky. So far it covered my meds (minus copays) and will cover the IVF. I knew there would be some expenses Out of pocket like cryopresevration.
BUt today I came home to a letter that says I have to bring payment of $2590 to my first appt for embryo cryo, sperm cryo, short term sperm storage , sperm thawing, and 12 copayments!!! Boy these expenses add up quickly.

Im sorry, that is a big shocker.
When will you start the cryo??
I will start in Jan.
Im still waiting for AF to show her face, after my 4th week of my D&C.
The first time I want her to arrive.

Wow...and that is why I am not doing IVF...our insurance doesn't cover it at all...imagine what it would cost then?!!!!

A LOT!!!!! I have IVF coverage, and after I got my insurance statement, all I could say is

Diane, did you have all these extra costs too? I hope AF shows up soon for you!!! (this time only)
I am starting meds 12/5. I guess the cryo will happen after the ER.

No, My insurance covers cryo up to 6 months.
When I get AF i have to call me RE, and go from there.

Diane, what is the process like for the cryo transfer? Does it require a lot of meds and or prep?

Nope not a lot of meds al all......thank goodness, but I still have to take those progesterone shots
