Anyone not do all inclusive in Mexico
or somewhere like it? We always go the all inclusive route but wonder if it's that much more to pay to eat and drink on your own. We're not big drinkers at all and we'll have a toddler so it's not like we can get trashed.

The food in Mexico is great , I would not do an all inclusive.

Re: Anyone not do all inclusive in Mexico
We've taken both routes in Cancun and ended up spending less not doing an all inclusive (and staying an extra night). We enjoyed ourselves more as well because we ate what we wanted to eat and drank what we wanted to drink.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to look into this option.

Re: Anyone not do all inclusive in Mexico
We just came back from Playa - Riviera Maya and did not stay at an all inclusive.
We ended up spending very little on food since we had excursions planned most days where they provided lunch. I think we would have spent a lot more on our stay at an all-inclusive.
