I don't bother shopping anywhere else. I just shop at Target. I did find some cute tops at Kohl's last year on 75% rack though for this summer.

I've been really disappointed with Gymboree and janie and Jack.

I've been buying from Walmart lately. I had to throw out soooo many expensive clothes. NO MORE! I'm in love the the Garanimals line at Walmart. Sooo cute! But I love that cutesey stuff.

I've actually been pleasantly surpsied at the selection--I am constanntly shopping for him--I think it's becoming a problem!! LOL! I like BRU, Gap, Old Navy, definitely Kohls and they are great when they have sales! Carters outlet has some great stuff and a big boys selection as well.

You know what else I find? The infant stuff is so adorable, but the toddler stuff is nothing great.

I am also having a hard time this season. He recieved a lot of sporty looking clothes for christmas which is cute sometimes but it's not him to dress that way everyday but he has because I can't find anything I like. I do love the Gap but I wait until the stuff goes on sale because I cringe at the thought of paying full price for something that is half the size of my shirt and almost the same price.

For those that shop at Denny's, how do you know how much the stuff actually is. I have one right by my house and I have gone in a few times and I can never figure out their prices. Is what is marked their bottom line price or do you need to bring it to the register?

I have both a boy and a girl. I enjoy shopping in general, so it's never been an issue. With girls, you can accessorize more, but overall, I really enjoy shopping for them and never have a problem finding clothes. Chat Icon

Re: Moms of boys - have you been disappointed with the clothing?

I have to agree -
All of last year, I found TONS of super cute boys clothes (when DS was in newborn to about 12 month sizes)
Now that he's a toddler, I'm finding much less than I like. I have scanned a bunch of different sites trying to get a jump on spring/summer clothes but I find that I like VERY little of what is out the

for dressy stuff, I too am SICK of the sweater vests.. I mean how many ways can you do them? Sure they are cute, but i did it soo many times last year for Easter/Christmas, etc, that I just refuse to do it again this year Chat Icon

I agree!!! I love shopping for DS and I adore how cute he looks in these outfits. So much fun.

Personally, I love the Gap and get a lot of his things there but I have noticed in the last few weeks that there isn't much of a selection. I was able to get some nice dress shirts for him in January during their big sale so I am going to go through that for the upcoming holidays and parties.

H&M is definitely worth a shot...I also like Janie and Jack.

Re: Moms of boys - have you been disappointed with the clothing?

Sometimes I am. It depends.
I was really peeved about V-Day because I've been trying to find a shirt that said "Heartbreaker" or "Little FLirt" or something like that and I couldn't find anything. And I was not paying $36 for it either. All the stores had tons of girls stuff and nothing for boys. His contribution today is a red bib.

Re: Moms of boys - have you been disappointed with the clothing?

I find that whenever I'm specifically looking for an outfit, I can't find anything I love, but when I'm not looking to buy anything, I find tons of cute stuff! So I try to buy cute stuff when I find it, even if he doesn't need it!

ITA.

There aren't many options when it comes to boys clothes. Even when I go to Target, it seems like 3/4 of the section is all girl clothes. There is just so much less out there.

I had a gc to the Gap and ugh...what a waste...they had nothing. I got him a pair of pants and two shirts but nothing that cute, kwim?

I love the Osh-Kosh store though. I can always find something cute there.

I know all too well. Always a million racks for girls clothes and 1 rack for boys! I hate it. Now that I have a girl, I love buying her clothes, but my poor son Chat Icon I get most of his stuff at Target, Kohl's or Old Navy. I also shop the carter's outlet too. My SIL gives me a lot of hand me downs form my nephew and a lot of them come from Children's Place.

Re: Moms of boys - have you been disappointed with the clothing?

I don't find it difficult to find everyday clothes. My mom buys most of their stuff at JCPenney. In fact she just bought us a suitcase FULL of clothes for both of them. If I buy stuff, it's usually from Old Navy, Target Children's Place or Carter's.

I am disappointed with dressy stuff. I seem to default to sweaters and pants.

There is a lot more for girls, even in the most basic things that you need. I had a hard time finding a snowsuit for DS--everything in the stores was pink or purple and covered with girly stuff.

Yesterday I was at BRU in Union Square and looking for a spring jacket for DS, but left with nothing. The only options were sports jackets (mets, etc.) or jackets that had some dumb sayings on them. Nothing I liked for him.
