Moms preggo w/ #2

Are you registering? I really don't need anything but I know people will buy gifts once DC #2 is born. I was just wondering if it's "normal" to register to give people ideas and options or just let them buy what they want?

I was also thinking w/ all the horrible return stories that if I register at least I will have a record if I need to exchange/return something.

Since my kids will only be two years apart - no. I think if kids are 4 or more years apart registering is a great idea. I know that some stores have something like a wish list. It depends on your family and friends also, would they find something like this valuable?

Re: Moms preggo w/ #2

I wasn't planning on registering. I don't really need any gear (other than a double stroller).

(eta: my two will only be 23 months apart)

Re: Moms preggo w/ #2

I'm due in May w/my 2nd (a boy!)...DD & DS will only be 18 mos apart...so I won't be registering.

I'll appreciate any gift people would like to give me, but I'd feel funny registering after such a short time.

I did, I don't need a lot but I started a registry just so I can go back and see the things I need to buy. My mom is having a small sprinkle for me, so she's going to put that I registered for some stuff.

I am thinking about it because my friends have asked me too, plus I have some thing for BRU that gives me a gift card if I open a registry. Mine will only be 3 years apart and other than a jumperoo there are no big ticket items we need. We don't know what we are having yet so I can't change anything over. The only thing I can see that I really need right now is some cloth diapers for burp cloths and some side snap t-shirts and gloves. Passed that we had a lot of neutral stuff from my daughter

DS will be 2 when DD is born. I took care of all the big items that I already have from him, bouncer, glider, high chair, playmat, strollers etc,so it would be foolish for me to register for that stuff. As far as bottles/clothing and other eveydau stuff, I can buy myself. Knowing my family, we will receive tons of gifts anyway, but I will go out and buy what I know we need before she is born~

ETA: furniture and double stroller will be a gift from grandparents~

I did register but it was only for a duostroller, crib and a mattress. And b/c Christmas was around the corner. I got gift cards from the famliy instead. So with that I bought what I needed.

I'm getting the same question from my friends. My children will be almost 3 yrs apart. I may register, I'm not sure yet.

Re: Moms preggo w/ #2

The only way I would register is if this is a boy. I would only register for small boyish things. The kids will be 3 years apart and everything I have is still in good condition and gender neutral.

Yes, however I did it more for me. I have a few things on my list (maybe 10-15). People keep asking me if I registered so why not. Nothing big in on there or over $100. I put a booster seat for my DD#1 and a new travel stroller for DD#2 (like I need another strollerChat Icon ) new bath saver and so on. People have been getting things off my list which is nice because I'm having another girl and I prefer no more clothes for her closet is already well stuffed.

Yes, I will. My mom is going to have a sprinkle for me. I'm not registering for many items though. I have a lot from Jared still.

Re: Moms preggo w/ #2

No way. I would feel so greedy, plus besides a crib, we really don't need much. Maybe some clothes if its a boy, but that would be about it.

Re: Moms preggo w/ #2

I think it all depends on the difference in age and if you had room to store any of the gear from #1.

I have everything since my DD is only 14months old. I will need a double stroller and a new bouncette, thats pretty much it.
