Re: a little worred.... losing weight
A lot of people lose weight in the first tri - especially those w/ bad MS. I wouldn't worry at all. I think Superkat lost 15lbs.
Just make sure you eat when you can.

Re: a little worred.... losing weight
a lot of women lose weight in their first trimester. It's normal because of m/s, so don't worry. You're fine.

Re: a little worred.... losing weight
I lost weight in the beginning of my last pg so don't worry.
I told my RE the other day that I couldn't eat and she said not to worry, just make sure I was taking in a lot of liquids. Are you able to drink a lot of water?

Re: a little worred.... losing weight
I also had the nightmare of 24/7 m/s and could barely keep anything down. Don't worry about the weight loss, you will gain in back. Some women lose or maintain their weight because of m/s in the first trimester. I hope you feel better soon.

Re: a little worred.... losing weight
Not uncommon at all! Your baby is still SOOO tiny, it's caloric needs aren't that great at all so don't feel like you're not giving baby what it needs. I lost 7 lbs my first trimester from being soo sick and my OB wasn't concerned at all- she said it's quite common.
Hope you're feeling better soon

Re: a little worred.... losing weight
I lost close to 20 pounds and at 25 weeks gained 13 pounds. The baby is fine, so dont worry. If you continue to lose weight and not feel good, definitely speak with your OB
Feel better

Re: a little worred.... losing weight
I had bad nausea for the few few weeks - from about 5 weeks until about 9 or 10 - then it started to taper off - I couldn't eat meat or be around it so I ate very little (I was never sick just the smell make me feel horrible). I lost about 8-10 lbs the first few weeks. I wouldn't worry about it - unless your dr is - I was told people often lose weight in the beginning.

I lost a lot of weight in my first tri. I was not suffering from M/S, but I had major food aversions. Trust me I made up for it in my last month.
I only began to gain weight at week 17, and I think it was not significant until week 32, when I went out on bed rest.

Re: a little worred.... losing weight
I lost a total of 14 lbs with my 1st...I would tell the nurses each time, "I couldn't do that if I tried!"
Totally normal.

Re: a little worred.... losing weight
My 1st p/g I lost 10lbs in my 1st trimester and I was thin to begin with. I did not start to gain weight until my 6 or7th month. This time I lost 7 lbs in the 1st trimester and did not gain anything again until around 6 months. I had hyperemesis both times! I am 32 weeks and only gained 11lbs, which is kinds low for a thin person, but Dr said it is okay.
