Completely discouraged by the home buying process...

....at this point.

Have been on a back and forth roller coaster ride of game playing, bluffs and indecisiveness on whether or not to sell this house for two months and the seller just pulled out for the 2ND TIME. Chat Icon

I know the process isn't supposed to be easy...but our first time buyer experience has been miserable thus far.

Buying a house for the first time is a total PITA! Hang in there...it will all be worth it in the end.

Re: Completely discouraged by the home buying process...

Just what you are saying is why we decided to go for sale by owner. Try being a seller the tons of games are their too. Buyer approved up to $500k, loves the home, first day when sees it, comes back 2nd day asks how everything works, third time back brings family, 4th time friends more questions, no problems... end result mortgage only approved for half the amount due to co-signing on another loan, buyers never mentioned that on initial application. Us (sellers) discouraged as well for spending so much time when it could of been clear from the start they could not afford our home. Hang In Their...

It is a very trying process one thing imo is if this house is not working for you then go and get another one, There are so many out there that you can choose from 100's of listings actually more like 27,000 listings lots to choose from.

Imo FSBO is not the answer either that is extremly frustrating as well.

Dealing in forclosure is very tough as well. short sales are not as bad.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement!

We're going to take a break for a little bit and hopefully we'll have better luck next time.
