so um spinoff to bedbugs
all this got me thnking because if they can come through other apartments or even travel to work with a person and then infest a whole office area. How about laundromats?
I drop off my laundry or do it myself at a local laundromat. I always trusted the place because its clean and I see the lady there cleaning the machines there each night (I used to walk by it to get home from the train)
but now I'm thinking if a person who has them were to use the laundormat and then you put your clothes in same machines could you get them like that?

Hi, me again, bedbug victim.  I don't know the answer, to be honest, but I'll tell you what we did to AVOID spreading them or picking up any more. I did not go to the laundromat in our building. We washed everything in HOT water and dried on the highest setting. We also dry-cleaned a lot of stuff. I guess you could pick them up there, but if you dry everything, the heat should kill them. Very high heat settings, or freezing temps get rid of them.
Sorry you're so freaked out by this, but I certainly don't blame you!  If you're really nervous, definitely get mattress and pillow protectors. I am a font of bedbug information. Any questions ya got, throw 'em at me!
