Re: Disney hotels

There sure are.
Plus it's easier for you to give a price range than to list all the Disney hotels.

Re: Disney hotels

Thanks i'll check the travel board.
we don't really have a set price range but I guess we wouldn't want one of the very expensive hotels.

Re: Disney hotels

I've only ever stayed with my family at the Disney All Star Resort and the Contempary. The Comtempary is beautiful but more high end. Its nice having the monorail right outside your room (in our case we were on the 7th or 8th floor so it was right there).

The All Star is nice ONLY and ONLY if you have kids. I wouldn't recommend it for couples. Its a kids paradise and all you here all day long is kids. The food at the All Star isn't great (its hot dogs/pizza/etc).

I like Port Orleans at the moderate level. There are 2 Port Orleans resorts. Both have beautiful grounds and if you stay at either one, you can use the amenities at both resorts. They have a boat that goes to downtown disney.

There's Riverside which is larger, has a fun lounge, big food court, Boatrights Restaurant, nice pool bar area.

Then there's the French Quarter. It's smaller and more intimate, small lounge in the lobby, food court, no sit down restaurant, pool slide but very small pool bar.

I stayed at Caribbean Beach once and it was just TOO BIG plus they are doing major renovations on their feature pool this year.

I never stayed at Coronado Springs.

The next level up are the lodges Animal Kingdom & Wilderness. I never stayed at the Animal Kingdom lodge. Wilderness lodge is one of my favorites. It's beutifully themed - has a great pool area, 3 dining choices, boat to Magic Kingdom, small beach area.

My fave fave is the Boardwalk. It's one of the deluxes. Walking distance to Epcot & Disney Studios. Great pool & pool bar. There's nightly entertainment on the boardwalk. Between the BW and the 4 other deluxe resorts around the lake & EPCOT, there's dozens of dining options.

I disagree. We've been there as a couple 3 times now (ASMusic, which attracts fewer kids) and it depends on the time of year. We've gone in the off season and only once heard noise from a band group checking in. It really wasn't bad, and there are kids everywhere at Disney. They are not the most romantic places, but they are affordable.

Re: Disney hotels

We are staying at the Radisson in June....

You aren't going to be at the hotel much, except for sleeping and maybe one day by the pool. This was fine for us. Worth the money and it has the shuttle service.

My fave as well --- we stayed at the Yacht Club with a balcony room overlooking the lake. I loved that all those hotels are so close to Epcot, there is a boat that will take you also if you don't feel like walking. I just loved it in that section because you really felt super close to it all.

Re: Disney hotels

I worked at the Boardwalk and hated the rooms. I thought they were just blah for the price. The location is fantastic though.

I've stayed at all stars music & movies. didn't like it. pop century is the best out of all of the values.

I've stayed at all of the moderates..
port orleans riverside
port orleans french quarter
carribean beach
coronado springs

i love both port orleans.. they're gorgeous, less children and i dunno i just love the rooms.

coronado springs as a whole is amazing. the rooms were lacking though. I felt like there was something missing.

carribean beach is huge, but the scenery is stunning. great food court too

i've also stayed at saratoga springs (definetely recommend it if you're looking for a "suite") and animal kingdom lodge and wilderness lodge. both were amazing. I think I like animal kingdom better though because of the theming and the food is just unbeatable. Boma is my absolute favorite "restaurant" even though its a buffet.

i know that doesnt help you but i think the values are between 70 to 110 and moderates are 140-160 and deluxes are 210 to 500

the deluxes go in this order from cheapest to expensive

animal kingdom lodge/wilderness lodge
contemporary
beach club/yacht club/boardwalk
Polynesian
grand floridian

there are suites which are vacation club in the beach club, animal kingdom lodge, wilderness lodge as well as the boardwalk and then the exclusive suites are
saratoga springs
old key west

and then fort wilderness which has rooms as well as spots for you to camp out and bring your rv.

Re: Disney hotels

We loved the Caribbean Beach - it was great, a little bit of a long walk for some people to the food area - but it was fine for us.

We just stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside - I would not recommend this one to anyone Chat Icon and that goes for the French Quarter as well (they are ran by the same people)

But I have heard great things about all of the other places.

I don't really understand what this means. They're all run by the "same people" it's disney property. They're both Port Orleans resorts, and are right next to each other, but it's all the disney. why didn't you like it? I love the port orleans resorts

We LOVED POFQ. We stayed there with a ridiculous AP discount (I think we paid like $74/night) ROMANTIC!

Re: Disney hotels

I have stayed at Carribean Beach 3 times and would definately recommend it. The rooms are clean, and you feel like you are on an island. The only drawback is if you are far away from the food court you do have a bit of a walk, but it is a great resort.

I also stood at Coronoado Springs. It was nice but would not stay there. It was just ok.

The same management - and the same housekeeping.

And the reason why is because I found a dirty sock and a Maxi pad in my bed.

And I couldn't even get someone to my room to clean my room.

Wow! That is a great rate!
Too bad you had to encounter that in your roomChat Icon I'd be disgusted too- were you able to switch your room?
I thought POR was a beautiful resort- no dirty room on my stay in Dec.

Nope - they really didn't seem to care.
And that was just the worst part of it - they never brought a PNP for my daughter to sleep in (after 2 calls to them to do so). Whatever it is over and there is nothing I can do about it.
They aren't even acknowledging our complaint.

It definitely is a beautiful place, and I never heard anyone else complain about it
