3 Day or 5 Day - what's the difference?

Thanks!

Re: 3 Day or 5 Day - what's the difference?
I was told today that a 5 day has a greater chance of becoming a viable pg and is for people who only want a single. They will usually only transfer 1 5 day blast. However, some embies won't make it to 5 days so you potentially could have a better shot with a 3 b.c if they don't make it btw days 4-5 you are out of luck. I am still deciding what to do. I am thinking of saying I want to do a 5 day transfer with the option for a lab override or to change based on the ER Report and quality of the embies. If they are not great quality I will deifnitely go for a 3 day transfer.

there are also some doctors who believe that a 3 day is better because supposedly the embryos have a better chance in your uterus than an "unnatural environment" outside the body and all the things the above poster wrote are also true (as far as I know)
