I just about lived down there for a year. When my DH and I were dating he was down there going to George Mason. I used to go almost every weekend.
It is one of my favorite places. I wanted to move down there.

tons of times!
the last time was last july - for the fourth! - it was awesome! we met up with friends that live in maryland and we went to a bar crawl, saw all the sights and monuments, took these great tours: old town trolley tours! you can get on or off and they take you all over. they also have a duck tour that goes on the road and in the water - they were great! i definitely recommend them - also, we stayed at the sofitel which was RIGHT near the white house - it was fantastic! i definitely recommend this place b/c the price was right, it was a really clean and beautiful hotel - the beds were so comfy - we LOVED it!
it was a great trip - we were there for a week b/c DH had never been

I lived in Arlington for about 9.5 years. I love the DC area!!! I was there just recently. I suggest Fairfax area for accommodations. Was only 67.00 a night and it is about 1/2 hour drive into DC. Good times. Hope you go and have fun!!!

I spent 5 months (April to August) commuting down to our DC office last year. I stayed in like a zillion hotels and ate out every night. If you need any suggestions ask away!
