Bad sinus headache.....

The past 3 days I have had the worst sinus headache ever!! Yesterday I had a bad migraine, then the sinus pain came after that. I woke up last night with more pressure pain and took a tylenol and it seemed to help a little, I feel fine today but still have pressure on the top of my head and when I cough it hurts and I have to hold my head. Is this normal?? I never use to suffer from bad sinus's before. TIA!

I get them all the time! It really $ucks! See if you can get a netti pot from CVS or some place like that...it helps to soothe the sinuses and it does work

I get sinus headaches/migraines too. I have noticed certain things I eat trigger them. I also use a nasal irrigation system as the previous poster suggested. I think it is better for prevention then treatment though for me.

Cold compresses to the area that hurts always helps me. My dr. recommended it because it helps reduce the swelling in the sinus cavity. Also, cut out milk products for a couple of days and drink lots of water.
Another suggestion, buy some peppermint extract, boil some water, pour it in a bowl with a drop or two of the peppermint extract and put your face over the bowl with a towel over your head and breathe in through your nose.
Also try gently applying pressure to the areas that hurt. Maybe look up on google where your sinuses are exactly on your head and face and apply pressure there.
I suffer terribly from sinus headaches, so I've tried many, many different things. The only thing that almost always works is a 12 hour sudafed and a good night's sleep, but since you're prego, I'm trying to give you all the other things that have worked for me in the past.
