New to IVF

My husband I just found out the only way we can have a family is through IVF. Any advice or insight on how to find to find the right fertility center?

Re: New to IVF

I would definately look into what insurance coverage you have and if they cover anything, I would go from there as far as who accpets it. Once you do that, you can check out SART (SART ) for succes rates at local clinics.

I cycled with RSofNY (Dr. SanRoman) at their Stony Brook office. I had a wonderful experience and luckily got pregnant on our first IVF cycle. You will find mixed reviews on most places so the most important thing is to interview a few places and decide who you feel comfortable with. I'm sorry you recieved such overwhelming news, it's not an easy thing to hear.Chat Icon

I would def. start by calling your insurance company to find out what your coverage is for tests, medication, and the actual IVF procedure. Then you should schedule an IVF consult with a RE and get started on your journey. Best of luck and we are all here for you.

thank you for the warm wishes. This is very overwhelming. I have started to look into an IVF doctor. My husband's urologist has referred one to us. Hopefully he/she will accept our insurance.

I found my RE by reading lots of old posts on here and then seeing who my insurance covered. I set up a consultation and really liked the doctor so I decided to stick with her. Good Luck!
