I feel fat and sad!
I'm 9 weeks and my pants and skirts are all snug on me. I'm developing a small belly which I thought would come later so now I have to wear a long enough top to hide the unsightly bulge. I don't think I'd feel so bad but I have a wedding to go to on Saturday and while I own many lovely dresses not one looks good! I guess this is the awkward stage where some look "fat" not pregnant and I certainly fit into that category. I feel like it's WAY too early for maternity clothes and bigger size normal clothes just look too big. Any suggestions??? Thanks for listening!

Aww I'm sorry. I know how you feel. I was there myself. I started wearing maternity around 9-10 weeks. I didnt have a choice. Even though I wasnt looking PG, just fat...none of my pants fit me. I gave in and bought maternity figuring I wasn't going to get any thinner for quite some time.
But, we're lucky because this time of year you can wear sweaters and fleeces nice and big...hiding the belly a little.
It bothered me that I just looked like I was getting heavy...but it was only for a little while and then I popped and def look PG.
Hang in there...you'll go from looking "just fatter" to PG in no time. In the meantime, buy a couple of bigger sized pants or maternity pants, you will feel SO much more comfortable!

Do you have a nice pantsuit you can dress up for the wedding?? How dare these people plan weddings while were aren't officially "showing". LOL They can only invite us when we are 7-8 mos pregnant hehe I understand how you feel. You will look preggo before you know it.........

Re: I feel fat and sad!
awww, it's okay, just remember you are not just getting fatter, you are PG!! Big reward coming to you in a couple months.
I was the same as MrsJ, I grew out of reg pants at 8-10 weeks. It bothered me but once I got into bigger, and maternity pants I felt so much more comfy.
That in between stage stinks, I can't wait to look more pregnant, sometimes I think I still ate too many cheeseburgers.
To ease the pain of growing out of your clothes what I did was put all you pre pg things away, out of sight out of mind. Once I did that, I know when I go into my closet or dresser everything in there fits.
Don't worry, it will get better

Re: I feel fat and sad!
You are not alone. I am 22 weeks and going through the same thing. But now, I think I do look pregnant. In fact, last weekend I saw a guy I used to date. I said to DH- do I look fat or pregnant? I don't mind if he knows i'm pregnant- I just don't want him to think I got fatter It does get better- and we just have to remember, we're pregnant!! With little babies in our bellies!! That is so exciting. think about how many people would love to trade places with you.
BTW, for the wedding- there are so many beautiful empire waist dresses out there. I was looking for one for my 30th b-day party and went to every store in Manhattan- Every single store had at least one empire waist dress. Definitely check it out.
