Sorry! Another SOURCE MALL/measles post
Thoughts. Are you going to wait a while to go to the Source Mall until the whole measles story seems to settle down. I agree that you never know who you are in contact with each day and what contagious illness they might have. But then I also wonder how many workers in the stores might have come in contact with the child and not known it.

I live OOS now, but personally I would not. I work in a hospital, so my chances of contracting some freaky disease are probably much greater there.
Also, would you live your whole life in bubble? Anywhere you go you risk coming in contact with someone who might have an infectious disease. Most of these things are infectious BEFORE you even show symptoms, so its not like you or them would know.
JMO, but you cant let fear rule your life.

I haven't been there is a while...I know I am vacinated....I cannot believe these people put so many other people in danger of being exposed though

These diseases will be making a comeback since people don't vaccinate their kids. People that think they are safe from infection because these diseases are eradicated are dead wrong.

i actually went this past sunday with my sister and her DS! we feel okay so im not worried. but had i known about it we definitely would not have gone just out of paranoia.

This is why its unrealistic for parents to say that their child is not exposed to anyone who is sick with these diseases, therefore they don't see the need to vaccinate. You don't know who is sick, and after you have been exposed its too late. It can be any supermarket, school, mall, daycare, wherever that they are exposed and you don't even know it.
