Tattoo placement question
I have one tattoo, I got it the day after my 18th birthday, it's a shamrock on my thigh...I got it there because its only visible in a bathing suit or if I wear short shorts (which I dont anymore LOL)...but I want another one for my DH, an infinity symbol, small...where should I get it? I'm an attorney so it can't be anywhere visible. I was thinking of getting it on my forearm by the elbow crook but I'm torn. I'm not skinny so I don't want a lower back or belly tattoo..any suggestions of spots?

Sure but it looks nice and it's not easily visible

Yeah but I'm a big baby...I need it in a "fatty" spot not anywhere near bone because I've heard that it hurts much worse on the bone. Is a forearm tattoo ghetto?

if you're asking if it's ghetto, obviously you shouldn't get it there. you're obviously worried of what others will think so hide it.

Re: Tattoo placement question
Well, yes as an attorney I am worried of what others will think of it. Of course even on the forearm I could hide it, with 3/4 length sleeves, etc. Just wanted some suggestions of alternative spots.

Re: Tattoo placement question
What about on your back shoulder...I always think Tats look nice there. If you wear a spaghetti strap it will be visible, but otherwise you can keep it hidden. My mom has a tattoo on her forearm and I will warn you that it is difficult to hide, especially in warmer weather.
I have one on my left pelvic bone that noone can EVER see...so I got another one on my ankle (ankle bracelet) that is visible.

Re: Tattoo placement question
Personally, I wouldn't put it on an arm.

Re: Tattoo placement question
I'm an attorney and I have one on my shoulder blade. My supervisor has one on her ankle (as do three other female attorneys in my office).

Re: Tattoo placement question
I was thinking of getting an infinity tattoo for my husband also. I was going to put it on the back of my neck, just under my hair line. I was thinking small also. Havent decided if I want to do that yet though.

Re: Tattoo placement question
Depending on how you wear your hair I would say the back of your neck (since you want itreal small) or your shoulder blade. I have one there and I love it. I placed it so I can even wear tank tops and hide it so long as they have thick straps.

Re: Tattoo placement question
tattoos don't look good just anywhere. it depends on what you're getting. personally, i think an infinity sign on your bicep would look terrible. it's a tattoo that only looks good in certain places. i would go for the foot, the wrist (although you say you can't cover it), the back of your neck, and that's pretty much it. on the shoulder blade would look bad. it would look empty and "plain" and you don't want that for a tattoo. as important as it is to find a good artist, placement is just as important.
