What do you think of Olas?
I feel like I apply to all these of these districts and I never hear from them. It's like I'm sending my resume off into oblivion.

I actually once got an interview from OLAS. They called me the day before to come in....it lasted 10 minutes and then I got a rejection phone call. Do you think school districts have to fill a quota of people interviewed?

DH and I sure do! every interview he has gotten from OLAS he has felt that he was filling a quota.

I actually had an interview (for a p/t leave) a few months ago, and then cancelled it  because I didnt think the timing was right with my kids' schedules *IF* I had gotten the job...
now I wonder if I should have went for it

i thought it was a waste. the only calls i ever got was the oen school year i was looking for a job.... heard nothing , heard nothing... then got a SLEW of calls for long-term subs, leave replacements, etc. AFTER I already took a job in the city... it was like where were you in the spring and summer?
i ddidn't have much luck with it... besides the above, i think i was called for one tenure track job but had already accepted another position.

I never got any calls ever from what I posted on that site.. sometimes i think its just for show
