Light Headed - Updated

Lately I have been getting light headed at least once a day. Does anyone know what I can take to prevent this?

I already take a mens one a day and I also take a Potassium pill.

What types of food can I eat that will help this go away....

Thanks,
Scott

do you have a pattern to your eating? It could be that your blood sugar is getting too low at a certain point in the day... maybe introduce more fruit or something with natural sugars into your diet. Chat Icon HTH! Feel better!!!

It might be time for a good check up. There are so many things that can cause lightheadedness. Any other symptoms?

I found that putting a pad on the wall before you bang your head on it helps a lot....

Is it the same time every day? Or after similar activities? Check for any kind of patterns, either food, time, activities, medicine, etc.

Re: Light Headed

I wonder if the amount I coffee i drink has anything to do with it. My friend thinks it may be my blood sugar is low.

I dunno....but I think it is getting worse everyday....

Re: Light Headed

It could be anything----high blood sugar, or low blood sugar, high blood pressure, etc...

I am glad you re going to the doctors. Also, with what you have been dealing with being unemployed and losing your Father in law, stress plays a major role in all of your health too.

GOod Luck--let us know how it turns out!

Re: Light Headed

Back from the doctor

I have fluid in my ears - He gave me a spray to spray in my nostrils

He says that I could have anxiety and be stressed out because I am unemployed now.

He took blood and gave me an ekg which was good. He also took my blood pressure which was fine.

He told me to excersize, and eat healthy and to lay off the caffeine for a while.....I have not been able to get in the right mindset to excersize or eat healthy....

It is crazy how fluid in the ears can make you so unbalanced feeling.

Hope you feel better soon

Re: Light Headed - Updated

How long do you think the spray the doctor gave me to spray in my nose will take to clear out the fluid......I hope it is sooner than later.

Re: Light Headed - Updated

Its back and its worse now.

Thursday it came back and I was light headed a few times, then friday it was worse. Today I have been light headed all day.

I called my doctor yesterday and he told me to make an appointment with a Neurologist next week.

I wish I knew what was causing this....I hate this feeling.

Re: Light Headed - Updated

Do you have allergie lately? It could affect your sense of balance especially with the fluid in your ears. That will messed it up.

Re: Light Headed - Updated

Nope I dont get allergies. I was looking online at the side effects of Nesacort and one of the top ones was light headedness, and dizzyness.

I woke up this morning feeling a little better. I am not going to take it today or anymore and see how I feel in the next few days.

Has anyone here ever had fluid in their ears before? I wonder how do I know if the nesacort did its job and the fluid is gone.

I second the vertigo idea, I had it, and i was dizzy and lightheaded for weeks if not months on end. The doc gave me meclizine, I think, which is basically dramamine. I had to stop the meclizine because it made me sleepy all the time.

Hope you feel better!!
