Endoscopy

DH has to have an endoscopy next week with his gastroenterologist because of his acid reflux. they are inserting a capsule into him and he'll wear a beeper that he'll press every time he feels heartburn. the capsule will record the acid levels during those times.

anyway, right now i haven't taken the day off of work to take him. his dad will take him, since he won't be able to drive afterwards.

my question is .... will he be able to take care of himself afterwards? will i need to take care of him at the house, or will he be okay by the time he gets home?

after my endoscopy I was woozy from the anesthesia but they kept me in recovery until I was given the ok to leave, after that I was tired but ok

I had my endoscopy at 10am and was driving at 4pm even though I wasn't supposed to. Bad girl, but after I got home I ate and took it easy for a few hrs and was fine.

I had one done last year. I felt fine afterward - just headachey and groggy from the anesthesia.

My dad has them every six months because of his Barretts esophagus. he is always fine, if his dad is going to take him back and forth, he should be fine.

I had mine done at 9am, and then that afternoon went shopping at Tanger!!
