Father....husband...advice??
Ok so on saturday I asked my parents to stop by before they went to my grandmothers for a BBQ. So they come over and my father brings his dog into the backyard...and the dog decides to PEE on my husbands tools...Now it was only 3 tools and they where laying on a plastic bag....NOW I am not saying that its ok for the dog to have done that but when it happened my husband turns around and says to MY father....What the F$%#, get your F'in dog out of here.............
So my father took the tools and cleaned them off and took the dog and walked out!! We went to my parents house last night for my nieces bday cake and my father shoke my husbands hand and said hello but didnt really talk to him for the rest of the night.... Do you think my husband was wrong?? I do, and although I do feel the dog should not have pee'd on his tools my husband is mad at me because he says I am taking my fathers side.
******Thank you for all agreeing with me....My husband and father have such a great relationship so I dont know where this came from. I apoligized to my father for him and he said not to worry about it he will get over it.... I am just upset about the whole thing********

Re: Father....husband...advice??
I understand your husband being angry about the tools, but if my husband spoke to my parents that way, there would be a whole lot of arguing going on.
On the other hand it was your father's dog - not your father - who peed on the tools. Unless there was an ongoing issue with the dog (which you should address, not your DH), there was no reason to get that angry about it.

he over reacted. Your DH was out of line. You are going to have to let them work it out.

Disrespectful. My husband would not speak to my parents that way.

in all honesty, your husband was way out of line and owes your father an apology.

I think your husband overreacted as well and I would demand that he apologize to your father. JMO.

Re: Father....husband...advice??
JMHO, but your husband was definately out of line. He needs to apologize to your dad for his behavior.

Agreed.
I'd be upset, too, but I'd expect an adult to be able to handle a situation like that with much more maturity and tact.
