anyone's DH work nights?
if your DH works nights-do you mind telling me what he does for a living? i am not being nosey my DH lost his job 5 months ago....financial type job. anyway, he has been home with DD while i work p/t. i go back f/t in sept. i am starting to get worried that he will never get a job. i don't even know if we will be able to afford the daycare we have her enrolled in for sept. hence my question to those of you who can answer. wondering what type of jobs your DH does in the PM hours. thank you so much if you can answer!

Re: anyone's DH work nights?
Security guard. Its my DH's second job to save money for when he gets out of the military next year. He took a 3 day course and now makes $12 an hour (with no experience). I live in Ca so I am not sure how many jobs are where you live but he told them what hours he is avalible and they have worked around his daytime job. He says its so easy just boring.

My Dh works 2-11pm. He works for Pepsi NYC. I would never recommend them to anyone else though!

So do I! There are positives and negatives- and that is definitely one of the biggest negatives

Re: anyone's DH work nights?
I work nights supporting Asian and European traders. I work 12am-9am and my coworker works 6pm-3am. I lost my job in December when my company was bought out . I was fortunate to find this job 2 months later but had known about the position before I was let go. There are a few night jobs in the financial industry like night trading for Europe or Asia, operational support, and tech support.
Good luck! Geting laid off made me feel like such a loser. I was at my job for almost 12 years. I thought I would have been there forever.
This has been such a blessing because I can see my son more. I alternate days between sleeping and doing fun things with him. I drive into NYC and the traffic is great! I don't have to travel on the LIRR anymore.
I hope he finds something very soon. I can keep an ear out for any openings too! Lots of hugs! Getting laid off stinks!

Re: anyone's DH work nights?
DH worked nights for a few years. He is a Local 3 electrician & worked in the subway tunnels. Definitely not something I'd suggest. The winters & summers were brutal & he was breathing in steel dust the entire time.
My friend is dating a radiologist tech who works nights at St. Catherines.
Hang in there.

Re: anyone's DH work nights?
DH is a corrections officer and works 11pm-7am. My job is 8:30am-5:30pm. We did this to avoid daycare costs. Not ideal, but we'll make it work.
I hope he finds something soon.
