MRI....
I know this is a far fetched question, but has anyone had one don for their child, or at least sedated??
we got the authorization from our insurance company, but DH and I are so nervous about having Christopher sedated. We just want to make sure it will be safe for him

Joey needed a die test done for his liver but he was very young, the worst part was not allowing him to eat before hand, not the actual procedure.
Post this on the MOTC, we were just talking about it,a nd I beleive Natalie had to do it for one of her kid's.

thanks....I know I still have to get blood work done on him soon
I am more worried that he wont be able to have milk when he wakes up then the actually needle itself

Nicholas had one when he was around 5. He was not sedated though. His head was the only thing that had to go in, so they taped it down  Someone else recently posted about this, I'll see if I can find the thread.

I know the feeling you are having, because we were supposed to have Ryan sedated for his CT scan, and hearing test, but ended up not having too by sheer luck.
Good luck to you and it will be over soon and you won't have to worry about it anymore!!

Kerri was sedated when she had an MRI....scary to watch but more so for me than her. She was fine afterwards

Addison was sedated for her MRI. Like Moehick said, it was more scary for DH and myself. Once she woke up she was fine. I think it was better that way, if she was awake she would have flipped out not being able to be near mommy & daddy.
